Katherine and Dennis met in the modern way, online through Bumble. Katherine, who had moved to Breckenridge, Colorado in 2011 from upstate New York, was looking for a driven, honest, and hardworking partner. Dennis, having relocated to Buena Vista, Colorado in 2017, hoped to find the kindest woman in the world. They both quickly realized they'd found exactly who they were looking for.
Their first date at the Brown Burro Cafe lasted so long, the waitress gently hinted it was time to leave to accommodate the lunch rush. Despite living 50 miles apart and navigating snowy mountain roads, their relationship flourished. The Covid-19 pandemic brought an unexpected silver lining, allowing them the chance to live together, and it quickly became clear this was exactly where they wanted to be.
They moved to Loveland as Katherine pursued her graduate studies at CSU in Fort Collins, excitedly embracing the next chapter of their lives. On December 23, 2022, Dennis planned a memorable proposal after dinner at one of their favorite restaurants, Door 222 in Loveland. Pretending to slip on ice, he caught Katherine by surprise as he dropped to one knee, asking her to make him the luckiest man in the world. Katherine joyfully exclaimed, "YES! OMG! Of course! Are you okay? I thought you really hurt yourself!" Afterward, they celebrated by driving around, admiring Christmas lights and listening to a special playlist Dennis had prepared, an activity that remains a cherished tradition for them.
After waiting two years, Katherine and Dennis are thrilled to finally celebrate their love and are grateful to share this special moment with you!
